Found some interesting links to some apps when digging out (read Google) stuff to backup my SMS from my phone. I haven't checked them out. Will do it through the day and let you know what comes of it.

Amazingly, there are a load of flash plugins that really come in handy. If you have a gigabyte storage on your phone, you can practically, by the looks of it, have an unlimited storage for SMS / MMS and possibly your contacts, maybe even your calls list.

In fact, if there's a number you have used sometime ago, but is erased from your recent callers' or messaged list, there is a chance it is still on your phone. (Found this quite a while ago actually; dunno if it works for other models, or only for SE K750 B-) )

Type out an SMS > Continue > Contacts Look-up > More > Unsaved Numbers and Voila! there's a whole load of numbers lying there for you to use, from some of your previous usage.
